Judgments Like Light Going Forth

Stormy wind, Tornadoes, and Hurricanes are part of God's judgment.

Just how does God go about judging nations for their wickedness?
The bible explains it very plainly.

When a nation does that which is right and good in the sight of God, then God blesses that nation. When they do evil, then God curses the people with storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, droughts, floods, wars, terrorism, diseases (pestilence), high taxes, unemployment, and so on.

The many wind storms, tornadoes, hurricanes and other problems show that God is in process of turning against the USA.

If you read the bible, you know this to be true.

Here are some scriptures that show how God creates and sends the wind.

Psalm 148:8
Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

Jeremiah 10:13
13When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures

Amos 4:13
For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.

Jonah 1:4
But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

Judgment Compared to Light

God’s judgments go forth like light (Hosea 6:4-5).  It is not difficult to see light. In the same way light can be seen by the natural eye, God’s judgments can be seen by the spiritual eye that has been opened by knowledge of God’s word. But many people are blind to God’s judgments. God's judgments are not some obscure events known only to theologians, but God's judgments are the things happening everyday.  They're in the news on TV, and in newspapers. They have headlines like, Tornadoes March Across the Midwest--Wet Wild and Deadly Storms--Extreme Weather--Drought Plagues such and such area and so on.

Hosea 6:4-5
your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. 5. Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.

It is a simple fact from the beginning of the world and will not change that God blesses the nation that pleases him and curses the sinful nation. And his judgments are plain to see--like light. The nation that does not fear and serve God will be punished. This nation of the United States of America does not serve God and has turned against God.

Fundamental Changes Needed to Save America

There would have to be some fundamental changes on a national level to change God’s mind about judgment. But there is no political courage in our leaders to do the things that would save this nation from destruction, therefore this nation is doomed. The things that would have to be done to turn this nation around so God would spare us from great destructive judgments will never be done because the leaders have no vision or courage to do what is right.  And even if the leaders wanted to do right, the people in general have no intention of repenting.  Individual repentance on your part, though very important to you, will not save this nation.  As a nation we are already past the point of no return.

Because there is no national repentance, we are simply waiting for the judgments to come. It would be stupid to think a nation that despises God will have peace and prosperity.

We are in the same situation as Baruch in the Book of Jeremiah.  Jeremiah had nothing but bad things to prophesy to the people and no one was repenting.  He didn't have any "peace and prosperity" or "break-through" messages and it was getting pretty depressing.  The nation of Israel was doomed and nothing was going to change the judgment. Then God speaks directly to Baruch in the following scripture:

Jeremiah 45:2-5

2.Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch; 3.Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest. 4.Thus shalt thou say unto him (unto Baruch), The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down (speaking of the nation), and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land. 5.And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.

God told Baruch, "seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not."  Do you have high hopes of education, career, business, family, etc.  Remember, you may never get some of those things, because God is going to "bring evil upon all flesh...break down that which I have built and pluck up, even this whole land"

Jeremiah 9:12-14

12.Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through? 13.And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein; 14.But have walked after the imagination of their own heart,

I think this describes America very well.  They forsake the law of God and walk after the imagination of their own heart or perhaps their man made religion.  But "God is not mocked," everyone will reap what they have sown--individuals and whole nations.
