The question is, "Should women be preachers, teachers, and apostles?"

The bible is a book of answers, but when people don't like what the bible says about some subject, then they create questions.

Here is the answer to the "Woman Question:"

Jesus didn't appoint any women Apostles and preachers.

Jesus didn't seem to care what the religious hypocrites or anybody else thought of him. If Jesus had wanted female Apostles he would surely have appointed some. We know Jesus came establishing the New Testament.

Here is an example of some New Testament doctrine:

1Timothy 2:12

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

1Corinthians 14:34-35

34. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

35. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

These scriptures seem fairly clear and simple.

Some of these commandments certainly must have been the cultural practices of their time. But you should be very careful what scripture you choose to ignore.

It plainly says that women should not be in authority over men. But also the bible speaks of women having spiritual gifts and giving prophesy which would involve speaking in church, where Paul said women should be silent.

Here's another truth that I have learned and it goes like this: I don't tell God what to do and neither do you.

A woman can do whatever God sends her to do.

But a woman should at least have the intellectual integrity to say, "I choose to do something other than what the scripture says."  Or say, "God is sending me to do such and such a work and I don't care what you think about it.  Take your complaints to God." Don't try to change or explain away the plain meaning of the scriptures or say the writer hated women.

There is a hierarchy and command structure in the world and church. The order of this hierarchy is as follows:

  1. God the Father

  2. Jesus the Son of God

  3. Angels

  4. Men

  5. Women

  6. Children

This should be the general order of world government and the church. But God can speak directly to anyone--man, woman, or child. Of course you should only follow and obey that which is right. It doesn't matter how high and mighty some preachers make themselves seem to be, if they preach ridiculous things or try to preach or prophesy you into being their servant, then you are under no obligation to follow or obey.

It is a shame and sign of moral decay when women rule as mayors,  governors, senators, attorney general, secretary of state, and so on. It is counted as a curse in Isaiah 3:12

Isaiah 3:12

12. As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

There is a place and work for everyone (male or female) in God's kingdom. Pray and let God lead you, then do what God wants you to do.
